Founded by Jean Engelbrecht in 1998, Guardian Peak focuses on producing sustainable wines.

Guardian Peak is named after a peak on the Stellenbosch mountain and sources its grapes from growers with whom the winery has long-term contracts.
Wines produced include Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and selected blends.
Wine-tasting hours are daily from 9am to 5pm. Lunch is served daily at the restaurant from noon to 3.30pm. Dinner is served Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 6.30pm to 10pm (November to April) and Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 6.30pm to 10pm (May to October). Last orders are taken at 9pm. Guardian Peak is closed on Christmas and Good Friday.
