Longridge

Employing sustainable farming practices, Longridge makes use of solar power and other renewable energy sources. The estate focuses on plantings of varieties that are best suited to the region’s climate and soils, and environmentally conscious methods help minimise the impact on the environment.

Wines produced include Cuvee Classique, Brut, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Cinsault, Syrah, and selected blends, as well as grape juice.

Visitors can enjoy meals at Rykaart’s restaurant that offers a set three-course menu – booking is advised. Lunch is served Wednesdays to Sundays, from noon to 2pm. Dinner is served Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 6pm to 7.30pm. The restaurant is available for special functions and events. Wine tastings are available at the estate’s tasting room Mondays and Tuesdays, from 10am to 3.30pm; Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 10am to 3.30pm (winter) and 10am to 6pm (summer); and Sundays, from 10am to 3.30pm. Booking is advised. Luxury accommodation is offered in the estate’s Cape-style homestead.
