Purchased in 1992 by Italian Giulio Bertrand, Morgenster has a 300-year history with a focus on Bordeaux-style wines and olives.

Gallery

Morgenster is currently under the guidance of mother-and-daughter team Federica and Vittoria, who share their passion for wine and olive oil. Only 74 hectares of the 200ha estate is under cultivation, with the remaining land given over to nature.
Wines produced include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Cabernet Franc, Pedit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and selected blends. Seventeen Italian olive varieties are under cultivation, and a range of extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegar are produced.
Morgenster’s tasting room and restaurant are located at the edge of a dam, offering mountain and wetland views. Wine and olive oil tastings are offered, Monday to Sunday. The restaurant operates Wednesday to Sunday.
