The Pentz family acquired the property in 1972 and expanded it to 2,800 hectares. Although it started as a dairy farm, its focus shifted to the planting of vineyards in 2001.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Wines produced include Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Shiraz, Brut Rosé, MCC Brut, Pinot Noir Rosé, and selected blends.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Wine tasting is available at the farm, accompanied by locally sourced cheese platters and charcuterie boards to pair with wines, seven days a week, including public holidays. Groote Post is closed on Easter Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Farm drives to explore Groote Post’s wilderness area can be booked – visitors can expect to see kudu, black wildebeest, giraffe, red hartebeest, bontebok, springbok, quagga, eland, and
